PIA Scholarship Programme

The PIA Day School is offering a number of full and partial scholarships for students in the following areas: academic excellence, outstanding ability in visual or performing arts, and proven talent in swimming or martial arts. These scholarships are open to students in Grades 6 up to and including Grade 8. They reflect PIA?s focus on creating opportunities for all students to realise their full potential as well-rounded, genuine contributors to the world around them.

How to Apply For a PIA Day School Scholarship
Interested parents should contact the school for a scholarship application form. All applicants need to submit a completed application form along with their school reports from the previous two years before the application deadline of Friday, 9th April On Saturday, 1st May, applicants will be expected to sit the ACER Scholarship Selection Test at the school. Further information about the Test can be found on www.acer.edu.au Registration for the test will be funded by the school. Applicants will also need to undergo an interview, and if applying for an Arts or Sports scholarship, they will be required to provide further evidence of ability. Scholarships will be awarded by the end of May.

School Fees for Year 2010-2011

Entrance Fee Waived for 2010/2011 Academic Year
PIADS Is Waiving the Entrance Fee for the School Year 2010/2011.
The normal Entrance Fee is a one time, non-refundable fee of 140,000 THB. For the Early Childhood programme, the fee is 70,000 THB, with the remainder of 70,000 THB payable upon the student moving to Grade 1 of the Junior School.

Application Processing Fee
The application processing fee for the 2010/11 School Year is 5,000 Baht. This fee is payable when an application is submitted to the Admissions Office.

Deposit Fee
The deposit fee is 100,000 baht. This fee is refundable upon 30 days of prior notice or 30 days from the last day of attendance, whichever is later.

Uniform
School uniforms, consisting of polo shirts, skirts, shorts, PE shirts and shorts, and swimsuits, are available for purchase at the school.

School Tuition fees for the 2010/11 School Year are:

Lunch is 21,000 THB per year for Early Childhood and 27,000 THB per year for Junior School and Middle School.

There is no extra fee for ESL.
A sibling discount of 10% is applied to tuition for the second child and any additional children. The first child?s fee is the standard rate.

Payment Procedures
The tuition and deposit fees are due at the time of enrollment..

Payment of School Fees
Fees are payable in Thai Baht, net of any bank charges. If a check is returned unpaid, a Baht 500 charge will be added to the invoice, which will then be immediately payable. Please enquire at the Accounts Office or refer to the invoice.

Overdue Payments
Interest at 3% per month will be charged for all late payments. The Head of School may exclude students from classes when payments are overdue.

Withdrawals
Students leaving the school are required to clear all obligations before final records will be forwarded to the next school. This includes borrowed resources, library books and other school materials. Please contact the Admissions Office for a Withdrawal Form.

Methods of Payment
Payment should be made using one of the following methods:

  • You can pay in cash, however, we appreciate tuition fee payment in other forms as listed below.
  • By Banker's Draft or Cashier's check payable to Banyapura Ltd.
  • By Check payable to Banyapura Ltd. The check should be crossed // 'AC Payee Only'. Please send your check to reach the School Office at least two weeks before the due date to allow for bank clearance.
  • By bank transfer through Bill Payment service at any branch of Siam Commercial Bank. The Bill Payment Form sent to you with the school invoice should be filled in and presented to the bank with the payment.
  • By Bank Transfer to Siam Commercial Bank.

All banker's drafts and checks should have the student's full name clearly written on the back. (A charge of 500 Baht will be made for any returned check.)
All payments made by Bank Transfer, please ensure that the student's name and registration number are written clearly on the front of the bank receipt (transfer slip) and a copy is sent to the School Office. Please ensure that your payment covers all bank charges.

Late Payment Charges
If payment is not received on or before the due date, late payment charges of 3% per month will be charged.

Refund of Fees
  • Tuition Fees are not refundable.
  • Deposit fee is refundable after deduction for any fees owed to the School, provided that a written prior notice of one month has been submitted to the Director?s office.
  • Any other refund or monies due are at the discretion of the Head of School.
Additional Charges
  • Parents will be notified of any charges and payments due for additional lessons, special activities or external examinations.
  • Parents will be invoiced for any extraordinary expenses incurred by their children.
